Personalized Logo
For this design, I drew the Grateful Dead logo and personalized it using illustrator. Instead of a lightning bolt in the middle of the skull, I changed it to a moon. Also, I added a multi-layered circle around the skull to center the image. Next, I will print out the design on screen and it will be finished.
Vector Photo
In photoshop, I used the lasso tool to remove the background from two images of myself, then I rearranged them into a design. With the cone picture, I made four different layers and resized each one to make it look like I was taking a picture of a bunch of myself.
Choice Design
I started this design off by sketching a Chinese dragon on a piece of paper. Then, I added the photo to illustrator and traced over all the lines. To finish it, I changed the colors to black and white to add contrast.
Skeleton Design
This project is supposed to show a monster (skeleton) doing some sort of activity (surfing) in a certain era (the 50s). Since it's going to be printed on a shirt, I used black and white in some areas, but I left the areas that I want to be the color of the shirt transparent.
Soldout Poster
There's a website that has many designs for concert posters. My design was inspired by an Eddie Vedder poster that had a surfing monster. In illustrator, I outlined a sketch I drew and changed the colors to purple and green. Through photoshop, the colors are separated to be able to screen print this design.
Skateboard Design
First on paper, I sketched out my design. Then, I transferred the sketch onto Adobe illustrator and traced over everything, adding color in the end. After printing out the file on another paper, I used gesso to paint over a skateboard and put the pieces of paper overtop. Once dry, I used water and a sponge to scrub off the excess paper and finished it off with a clear top coat.
